Only 2 more StarBoards, 3 document cameras and 2 LCD projectors are needed to complete our goal of full school StarBoard technology!  Thanks to the PWES community and their support!

	Welcome!
	The PWES PTO is a group of parents, along with Ms. Finnegan and the teaching staff, working together to build the community we call Prairie Winds Elementary.  Our Mission Statement is:  To facilitate a cooperative and collaborative effort between parents and teachers to create a mutually beneficial environment for our students, our staff and our school.  By combining the efforts of all, the PTO has been able to achieve great success in the past school year. One of our most notable accomplishments was establishing StarBoard technology in all the classrooms.  At the beginning of the year, we set out to achieve the goal of StarBoards for all classrooms.  For those who are not familiar with the StarBoard, it is an interactive learning tool for the classroom, which allows students to become more actively engaged in the learning process.  Last year the PTO, through the support of the PWES community, was able to purchase 5 StarBoards and document cameras and, through the assistance of Student Council, a sixth was purchased!  In addition, a large screen flat panel TV was purchased for Kindergarten, for interactive use in the classroom.  We are pushing forward into this year to complete our goal and obtain two additional StarBoards. We invite you to join us this school year, as we support the PWES community with fun-filled activities and events.  Please join us at any of our monthly meetings, held at the school, the 3rd Tuesday of every month.  It is a great way to get involved and meet some really awesome people!
